Properties Overview

Understand how Basefloor organizes your hotels and venues.

Properties

A Property is a physical hotel or venue belonging to your hotel chain. Basefloor supports an unlimited number of properties under a single chain account, making it ideal for boutique hotels with one location and large chains with dozens.

Properties Dashboard

The Properties Dashboard gives you a bird's-eye view of all your locations. From here you can:

  • See all properties at a glance with key stats (rooms, active bookings, occupancy)
  • Click into any property to manage it in detail
  • Add new properties to your chain

Adding a Property

  1. Go to Properties → Add Property
  2. Fill in:
    • Name — The public-facing name of the hotel
    • Address — Full physical address including city, state, ZIP, and country
    • Contact Email — Primary email for this location
    • Phone Number — Reception or front desk number
    • Time Zone — Used for check-in/out calculations and scheduling
  3. Click Save

Property Settings

Once a property is created, you can manage its detailed settings by selecting it from the Properties list and clicking the Settings tab.

General

Update the property's name, contact details, and description. The property description may be shown to guests on booking confirmations.

Rooms

Add, edit, or remove rooms associated with this property. See Room Management for a detailed guide.

Amenities

Define which amenities are available at this property overall (separate from per-room amenities). Examples: swimming pool, gym, restaurant, parking.

Staff

View current staff assigned to this property and manage their access. Staff members can be assigned to specific properties to limit their visibility.

Occupancy and Availability

Basefloor automatically tracks room availability based on your confirmed bookings. The Availability Calendar for each property shows:

  • Rooms booked on each night (highlighted)
  • Rooms available (shown as open)
  • Current check-in/check-out activity

Multiple Properties

If you manage more than one property, the dashboard aggregates statistics across all of them. You can filter bookings, reports, and room availability by property.

Use the Property Switcher in the top navigation to quickly jump between properties without returning to the dashboard.
